Shaheen (age 80):”All my dreams in life are fulfilled”
In my live, all my dreams came true.
My mum gave me the name Sultana what means princess. I gave myself the name Shaheen. This is in the Urdu language connected with an imaginary bird. If it flies over your head, you become a queen.
Deepthi (age 8) : “In the future I want to become an engineer…”
I dream that my mum and dad have their own house. Now it is already the 3rd house that we moved place. I miss my friends every time we move. We are originally from Rajahmundry about 600km from Hyderabad. Now we moved into the HS Darga area for the second time.

If I have some food every day and some money, then I can sleep and I’m happy. Until now I was never ill. Sometimes I have a cough and some joint pain and pain in my legs but I can still go out for begging.

Whenever there was cricket, a power cut was there. Now that solar is there, I can enjoy the cricket game. … During the exams the neighbor children who don’t have solar come to my place. They ask to switch on the light. They study together late in the night.
